Our Chicago anime con will bring together thousands of fans to celebrate Japanese animation, and some other fandoms, over a three-day-long weekend.

Animazement

Animazement is about everything anime and Japan, and every year, we pack our schedule full of events dedicated to everything that makes us fans. This year will be no exception, and we look forward to bringing you a weekend packed full of events, guests, panels, video rooms, and so much more!

Anime Central

Anime Central (ACen) is the largest anime, manga and Japanese popular culture convention in Chicago and the Midwest. ACen happens once a year in the Spring (around April or May) less than 30 minutes from downtown Chicago, in Rosemont, IL.

As part of its mission, ACen brings fans together with guests from the Japanese and US sectors of the anime and manga industry, as well as gaming, cinema, and Asian culture personalities. The event includes a huge exhibit hall, a massive video game room, concerts, dances, educational panels and workshops, premiere screenings, autograph sessions, 24-hour video rooms, tabletop gaming and much, much more!

FurtheMore 2017

FurtheMore is an annual 3-day anthropomorphic convention for enthusiasts of Anthropomorphics and the community. It is the first of its kind in the Maryland, DC & Virginia Area.

Our annual event is designed to provide education, and socialization within our community. We invite our Guests of Honor from within our community, and we showcase artists from all over the world as well as vendors. Each year we sponsor a 501(c)3 charity and raise donations to help the charity in their community. So far our event has raised $17,332.25 in total charity donations.

Anime USA

In 1999, a group of anime fans came together and started Anime USA, a three-day convention celebrating Japanese animation, art, culture, history, and fashion. In 2004, Anime USA formed a non-profit educational organization to host the convention. Anime USA’s mission is to promote, as well as educate the public about Japanese arts and popular culture. As in the beginning, Anime USA remains a convention of Otaku, by Otaku, for Otaku.

Anthrocon: Roaring Twenty!

ANTHROCON is the world’s largest convention for those fascinated with anthropomorphics, which are humanlike animal characters such as have fascinated mankind since the dawn of human imagination. We are a collection of artists, animators, writers, costumers, puppeteers, and just everyday fans who enjoy cartoon animals and their kin. Membership is open to any and all who like to imagine what it would be like if animals could walk and talk as we do — and no, you do not have to wear a costume to attend!

This is a very special year for Anthrocon, as it marks our twentieth annual convention. To mark this momentous occasion, we have chosen to dub our event THE ROARING TWENTY! Bring along your spats, flapper dresses, and ostrich feathers, but keep a sharp eye out for the revenuers! This will also be the tenth anniversary of our arrival in Pittsburgh, and as always, we will be returning to the David L. Lawrence Convention Center to turn the Golden Triangle in the Furry Triangle. The festivities will begin on Thursday, June 30, 2016, and will run through Sunday, July 3, 2016.

AnimeNEXT

The convention features Japanese creators of anime and manga, voice actors from anime series, Japanese musical acts, artists, vendors and exhibits, panels, workshops, and gaming. Events all focus on aspects of anime, manga, and Japanese culture. With the popularity of anime and manga growing in the 1990’s and 2000’s, anime conventions have seen positive growth in their attendance; AnimeNEXT is no exception.

AnimeNEXT has been in existence since 2002 and is organized by Universal Animation.
